Ranchi, July 7 (HS). BJP Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri, Ranchi MLA CP Singh, Rajmahal MLA Anant Ojha, Kanke MLA Samari Lal and Godda MLA Amit Mandal met the assistant policemen on Sunday and understood their problems in detail.
In this meeting which lasted for about half an hour, the BJP MLAs assured all the assistant policemen that if this government does not make all of you permanent, then after the coming elections, if the BJP government is formed, then positive action will be taken on this matter.
On the occasion, the Leader of Opposition told the media that the assistant policemen were employed by the government and now the government is not making them permanent. It was made clear in the talks held by the present government with the assistant policemen that they will be made permanent soon but the state government which came to power by making false promises and cheating the assistant policemen is not even taking care of them now. The government only worked to gain power by giving assurances on social media and cheating the assistant policemen. He said that in the coming session, all these issues will be prominently raised within the House.
It is noteworthy that in the talks held between the state government and the assistant policemen in the year 2020 and 2021, the government had promised verbally and in writing that all the assistant policemen would be made permanent, but till date no assistant policemen have been made permanent. Against this, hundreds of assistant policemen held a one-day fast and dharna in front of Bapu Vatika in Morabadi, Ranchi. Assistant policemen, which include both men and women, are protesting with their small children.
