Ranchi, 7 July (HS). Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the historic Jagannathpur Rath Yatra festival on Sunday. On this occasion, he participated in the puja-anushthan program organized and received the blessings of Mahaprabhu.
The Chief Minister prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity and progress of the people of the state by performing rituals of worship of Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra. He also congratulated and wished all the people of the state on Rath Yatra. The Chief Minister shouted Jai Jagannath along with thousands of devotees present in the gathering of faith and devotion and by touching the rope of the chariot, he took Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra forward towards Mausibari.
Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, MLA Kalpana Soren, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, MLA Rajesh Kachhap, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay and Vinod Pandey, among others, participated in the puja-rituals organised on the occasion of the historic Rath Yatra.
