Mandi, 7 July (HS). The world famous Rath Yatra was organized in Puri of Orissa state on Sunday in which lakhs of people participated. On the same lines, Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra was organized with great pomp in Mandi on Sunday. There is an ancient temple of Lord Jagannath in Paddal Mohalla of Mandi city. Programs are going on in this temple for the last ten days. The Mool Paath and Ram Katha are being organized daily since 29 June. In which storyteller Adarsh Sharma is narrating the story. The story is being narrated daily from 3 pm.
After its completion on Sunday, a Rath Yatra was organized in the city in which a large number of devotees participated. This Rath Yatra started from the temple complex in Paddal and reached Paddal ground again via Suketi Bridge, Thanehra, Seri Bazaar, Chowhatta Bazaar and Baba Bhootnath Temple Complex. During this, hundreds of male and female devotees walked along singing and playing. It was an amazing sight to behold. Its organization in Mandi on the day of Puri's Rath Yatra was significant in itself. Since it was Sunday, a large number of people participated in it and made themselves a part of the virtue. During this time the entire city was immersed in the glory of Lord Jagannath.
Jagannath Temple priest Ved Prakash Sharma said that Mahaprasad i.e. Bhandara will be organized in the temple premises from 12 noon on Monday. He has requested everyone to attend it.
