Natarang presented the Hindi play 'Tauba-Tauba' in the weekly drama series

Jammu, July 7 (HS). Natarang presented the Hindi play 'Tauba-Tauba' on Sunday as part of its prestigious 'Sunday Theatre' series. Written by Rajinder Kumar Sharma and directed by Neeraj Kant, the play was humorous yet thought-provoking, highlighting the issues faced by theatre groups due to the lack of commitment of some artistes.

The story begins at the home of Anokha Lal, a director, who has turned his house into a rehearsal venue for an upcoming play. As the rehearsals begin, it becomes apparent that Anokha Lal is the only person dedicated to the practice sessions. The actors, once eager for the role, now offer various excuses to skip rehearsals. The situation is further complicated by the antics of a newly appointed servant, who brings some new trouble with each entry.

Anokhilal faces mounting stress as the performance date approaches. Actors forget their lines, arrive late and tickets for the show are already sold out. The final crisis comes when the actor playing the protagonist's father backs out due to personal commitments. Desperate, Anokhilal trains his servant to play this father. The plan goes awry when Anokhilal's real father arrives, leading to a comical but intense confrontation in which both Anokhilal and his servant are reprimanded. The cast of 'Tauba-Tauba' included Mihir Gujral, Adesh Dhar, Vandana Thakur, Kushal Bhatt, Brijesh Avtaar Sharma and Chaitanya Shekhar.
