Actually, under this scheme, beneficiaries are given a subsidy of Rs 300 along with free LPG connection. Just before the Lok Sabha elections, in the month of March, the Union Cabinet had approved the continuation of subsidy of Rs 300 on LPG cylinder to the consumers of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Under this, the beneficiaries of the scheme will continue to get a subsidy of Rs 300 till March 31, 2025. This means that apart from July, the beneficiaries will be able to avail a discount of Rs 300 on LPG cylinder for the next eight months.
What is the price of cylinder now?
In the country's capital Delhi, the price of LPG cylinder for domestic use is Rs 803 per 14.2 kg. Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana get a subsidy of Rs 300 on the cylinder. For such customers, the cylinder is available for Rs 503.
The price is fixed on the first date
