Driving License Rules: Now you do not need to go to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and stand in long queues to get a driving license. The central government has simplified the rules for getting a driving license. Now there is no need for a driving test. According to the changes made in the conditions required to get a driving license, now you will not need to go to the RTO and give any kind of driving test. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced these guidelines and they have now come into effect. This is a big relief.
Driving Schools & Training
According to the information given by the Ministry, now you will not need to wait for the test at the RTO to get a driving license. Now you can register for a license from any reputed driving training institute. If the applicant passes the required test, he will get a certificate from the school. On the basis of this certificate, the applicant's driving license will be issued.
Those who teach driving should keep this in mind
A minimum of one acre of land should be available for training facilities for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and light motor vehicles, while medium and heavy passenger goods vehicles or trailers will require two acres of land.
The trainers must have at least a 12th class diploma, at least five years of driving experience and a good understanding of traffic rules.
The maximum time given for driving a light motor vehicle course is 4 weeks and 29 hours.
For 21 hours, people will have to learn basic roads, rural roads, highways, city roads, parking, reversing and up-down driving, among other things. Apart from this, 8 hours will include topics like what to keep in mind during traffic on roads and traffic related information, understanding the causes of accidents, first aid and petrol-diesel while driving.
