45,989 applications have been approved in two years in Ahmedabad city and district to provide financial assistance for rehabilitation of destitute widows.
Ganga Swarup Yojana has been implemented by the Government of Gujarat to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation of destitute widow women of the state. Women and Child Development Minister Shri Bhanuben Babaria gave the figures of Ahmedabad district in response to a question asked in this regard in the Assembly House.
He said that under this scheme, during the year 2022 and 2023, a total of 30,761 applications were received in Ahmedabad city and a total of 15,343, a total of 46,104 applications were received in Ahmedabad district.
Out of which a total of 45,989 applications received in Ahmedabad city and district have been approved by the state government. Whereas the remaining 115 applications have been rejected due to lack of necessary documents.
