Indore, July 6 (HS). On the initiative of Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, free mega health camps are being organized in remote rural areas of Indore division. In this series, a free health checkup mega health camp was organized at Civil Hospital Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) on Saturday. 2592 people suffering from various diseases got themselves registered and got their health checked in the camp.
Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh reached the camp and took stock of the arrangements. He gave necessary guidelines to provide health services to maximum number of residents through the camp. Dr. Ambedkar Nagar area MLA Usha Thakur reached the health camp and expressed happiness on organizing such mega health camps to provide better health services to the residents of remote rural areas.
Patients suffering from different kinds of diseases and health problems reached the camp. In the camp, 36 ANC HIV, 46 general ANC, 355 ANC check-up, 75 pediatrics, 138 dental diseases, 378 general health check-up, 61 eye tests, 345 ANC registrations, 251 bone diseases, 343 Ayurvedic and 315 homeopathic patients were treated and medicines were distributed. In the camp, 157 persons were examined through sonography and 90 persons were examined through X-ray. Through the health camp, health check-up, medical consultation, check-up with modern machines and better health services were provided to the residents of remote rural areas.
Online arrangements were made for registration of patients in the camp. Stalls were set up for registration of people who came for testing in the camp. Monitoring and follow-up will be done by preparing a scientific database of the patients identified in the camp. A special portal and app has also been prepared for this. In the health camp, health check-up of people affected with cancer, sickle cell, TB, leprosy, silicosis, dental, eye and other serious diseases was done.
Along with health services at the camp site, necessary arrangements were made for providing medical certificates to the disabled and to benefit them from the schemes of the Social Justice Department. The AYUSH Department and private hospitals associated with Ayushman also provided their services in the camp. Further action will be ensured for the treatment, operation etc. of the people suffering from various diseases identified in the camp.
In the camp, Regional Director Health Services Dr. Shaji Joseph, Joint Director Dr. Purnima Gadaria, CMHO Dr. B.S. Saitya, doctors and paramedical staff of MGM Medical College Indore, AYUSH Department, Index Medical College, Specialist Jupiter Hospital, Medanta Hospital, Choithram Hospital, Care CHL, LNCT Medical College Indore provided their services.
In the coming days, free health checkup mega health camps will be organized in various districts
Under the mega camp in remote rural areas, the next camp will be organized in Sanwer on August 10. The camp will be organized in Bhikangaon of Khargone district on July 13, Sendhwa of Barwani district on July 20, Nepanagar of Burhanpur district on July 27, Pandhana of Khandwa district on August 3, Manawar of Dhar district on July 27, Jhabua on July 13 and Alirajpur on July 20.
