On this, the complainant's lawyer requested to issue an arrest warrant against Rahul Gandhi but the court refused.
The court of MP-MLA Special Judge Sarthak Sharma said that the court has not received the service report of whether the summons has been received or not. In view of this, the warrant cannot be issued right now. The next date of appearance in the case has been fixed. During the hearing, advocate Vinod Kumar Sahu pleaded for the complainant Naveen Jha.
Earlier, the court had issued summons to Rahul Gandhi and asked him to appear in the court. Earlier, the summons issued by the MP-MLA court was challenged by Rahul Gandhi in the High Court, which was rejected by the High Court. After this, the MP-MLA court has again issued summons to Rahul Gandhi.
It is noteworthy that Ranchi Civil Court had issued summons to Rahul Gandhi for the first time after the complaint was filed in the case in the year 2018. This complaint was filed by BJP worker Naveen Jha in the year 2018. It has been said in the petition that the then National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi had made objectionable remarks against the then National President of BJP Amit Shah in the convention held in Delhi.
According to Naveen Jha, during this time Rahul had said that a murderer can become the president in BJP but this cannot happen in Congress. He was hurt by this statement. The image of the party has been tarnished. This is why he filed a complaint.
