Bhaini Mian Khan: There was an uproar in Kathana village under Bhaini Mian Khan police station this morning when the sound of gunshots was heard from a house in the village. Villagers and youths from different districts told that today about 15 youths had come to take back 35 to 40 thousand rupees taken from the travel agent brother Sunny and Money of village Kathana in the name of sending abroad.
After taking money from a young man, the travel agent did not give him a visa to go abroad. So the victim reached their house around 10 am in the morning to withdraw the money, but instead of talking to him, the travel agents started threatening him. He told that meanwhile the agent brothers started abusing and beating him.
When protested, the agents started firing. After which they were forced to flee the village. During this, there was a stampede in the village and after some time the police also arrived. The police brought the victim youth along with the accused to the police station. Meanwhile, the police interrogated the victim youth and the accused for a long time.
When an attempt was made to contact the investigating officers DSP Gurvinder Singh Chandi and Unkar Singh on phone to get information about this case, they did not consider it appropriate to talk. SHO Sumanpreet Kaur Mann said that their investigation is going on and they cannot say anything in this regard right now. After completion of the investigation, appropriate legal action will be taken against the accused.
