Weather forecast July 7: According to the latest forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain and strong winds are expected in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Saturday. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 26 degrees Celsius. The weather forecast shows that Delhi-NCR is likely to have light rain and cloudy weather till July 9, after which the rain will intensify in the next few days. At the same time, the IMD has issued a red alert in some states.
A day earlier, Delhi (Safdarjung) received 0.6 mm of rain, drizzle at Palam, 0.6 mm at Lodi Road and 2.7 mm at the Ridge. The Meteorological Department has predicted a rise in temperature and humid heat in Delhi despite the possibility of light rain. Although the weather is not expected to be completely dry, there may be sporadic drizzle.
The Indian Meteorological Department has said in its official statement that heavy to very heavy rains may continue in northwest and eastern India till July 7 and in northeastern India from July 9 to 10. The Meteorological Department said that coastal Karnataka and southern interior Karnataka are also likely to receive very heavy rains at isolated places on July 6 and 7. A red alert has been issued for this.
In its latest weather forecast, the IMD has said that heavy rains are likely to continue in some states of the country during the next 4-5 days. Earlier on Friday, heavy rains wreaked havoc across North India, severely affecting daily life in states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department also said that heavy rains are likely in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa and Karnataka in the next 2-3 days.
According to the IMD, heavy rains are likely over Himachal Pradesh and Haryana-Chandigarh on July 6, over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh on July 6-9, over parts of Punjab and Madhya Pradesh during July 6-7 and over many areas of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till July 9.
