RPF caught the accused of human trafficking at Ranchi railway station, freed two girls

Ranchi, 06 July (HS). Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested an accused of human trafficking from Ranchi Railway Station. Also, two minor girls have been freed. Both the minors were handed over to Premashray Ranchi for their safety on the verbal order of CWC.

Inspector Diganjay Sharma said on Saturday that on the instructions of Ranchi division commandant Pawan Kumar, a continuous campaign is being run against traffickers. In this connection, during checking at Ranchi railway station, two minor girls were seen sitting with a man in a suspicious situation near platform number two and three. On being questioned, the human trafficker did not answer properly.

After this, when they were interrogated one by one in the presence of women staff, it was revealed that two minors, residents of West Singhbhum (Chaibasa), were brought to Ranchi Railway Station by Anil Mansid, a resident of Khunti, the owner of Oriya Poultry Farm, to hand them over to a poultry farm in Ambala, Haryana state in exchange for Rs 15,000.

On questioning the two minors, it was clear that both of them were being sent to Haryana for forced labour after receiving brokerage charges from the poultry owner. After completing all the legal formalities, the accused Anil Mansid Oreya was arrested by Sub Inspector Sohan Lal. He was also handed over to AHTU Police Station Kotwali for further action. AHTU PS Kotwali has registered a case against the accused under BNS and 75/81JJ Act and is investigating.
