Bhopal, July 5 (HS). As per the instructions of Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, a tree plantation campaign is being run in the power companies of the Energy Department with the aim of keeping the environment safe and clean. Under which, tree plantation was done in the first phase today in various sub-stations and residential colonies of Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company.
In the tree plantation program organized at the Bhopal headquarters of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, the Managing Director of the company Kshitij Singhal and other officials planted saplings and pledged to protect the trees. It is worth mentioning that at this time a countrywide campaign of plantation “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” is being run. In the same sequence, tree plantation is being organized on a large scale at the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company headquarters.
Till now, more than the target number of saplings have been planted in various sub-stations of the state including the company headquarters. Apart from the employees of the company, their family members also participated in the plantation. Plantation was also done in the Bijli Nagar Colony of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company. Apart from the oxygen emitting plants, various species of fruitful and shady plants like mango, jamun, neem, peepal, karanja, amla, almond, tamarind etc. were planted in the residential colonies here.
After planting the saplings, the employees and their family members took an oath to voluntarily take care of the saplings being planted. This process of planting saplings by the company to make Vasundhara green and save the environment will continue in the future as well.
