Chandigarh, July 5 (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has praised the portal system started during the BJP tenure and said that the portal has given a new identity to Haryana. Due to the portal, while corruption has reduced in the government offices of the state, the tension of the recruitment stop gang has increased.
Naib Saini was addressing the workers from different parts of the state on Friday in Chandigarh after inducting former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shyam Singh Rana into the BJP.
Shyam Singh Rana, a senior leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), was declared the INLD candidate from Radaur two days ago. Shyam Singh Rana became MLA from Radaur on a BJP ticket in 2014. He was also made the Chief Parliamentary Secretary in the first term of the Manohar government. In 2019, the BJP cut Shyam Singh Rana's ticket. In his place, the BJP fielded the then Minister of State Karnadev Kamboj. In the 2019 assembly elections, both the leaders had to face defeat from the Radaur constituency. Congress candidate Bishan Lal Saini won from here. While getting Shyam Singh Rana to join the BJP, CM Naib Singh Saini described him as an old BJP member and his friend. Naib Saini said that middlemen have been eliminated due to the portal. Middlemen have been dominant during the Congress rule. Congress is creating confusion about the portal to save its middlemen.
CM Saini inducted former MLA Shyam Singh Rana into the party by making him wear the BJP's turban. In the membership ceremony, the Chief Minister called Shyam Singh Rana his close friend and said that all the new colleagues will get full respect and honour in the BJP. Chief Minister Naib Saini said that before 2014, there was corruption and discrimination in the Congress government. During the Congress rule, the youth from poor families could not even think of a government job. One had to stand in line for three days for a gas cylinder. Saini said sarcastically that Hooda sahab is having a stomachache because of the portal, how is the direct benefit reaching the people through the portal.
Former MLA Shyam Singh Rana, who left INLD and joined BJP, said that today I have joined BJP in the presence of CM Saini and am resigning from INLD. He said that Naib Singh Saini and he used to sit at the same table and both of us have had a political life of struggle. He said that whatever responsibility the organization gives me, I will fulfill it with full loyalty.
