Rajkot: A few days ago, a video of a clash between government employees in a high-rise building in the city went viral. A complaint was lodged in which a face-to-face complaint was lodged. After which once again a business couple attacked a woman officer of the GST department and threatened to implicate her in a false crime by saying that they are acquainted with the ACB and the media and obstructed her duty, a complaint has been lodged in P. Nagar police station.
According to more information, a woman named Priyankaba Vikramsingh Jadeja, a GST officer working in the Joint State Tax Commissioner's office in a multi-storey building in the city, has accused Jigarbhai Narendrabhai Undakat and his wife Jijnaben, who live in Shardanagar on University Road, in her complaint. A crime has been registered under various sections including assault, threat and obstruction in discharge of duty. PI BM Jhankat and staff are investigating the case.
Priyankaba said in the complaint that some time ago she along with the staff started an investigation at the shop of Jigar Narendrabhai Andukat, owner of a mobile shop named Jai Enterprise on Amit Marg. Where evidence related to GST evasion was found, an investigation was conducted from 17-10-2023 to 20-10-2023 and a difference was found in the stock of goods in the shop. Also, during the investigation it was found that Jai Andukat had evaded GST of Rs 14.95 lakh and he was fined.
After which businessman Jigar Undukt asked him to pay the fine in installments due to his poor financial condition and later he paid the amount of Rs 4.95 lakh in installments. When he did not pay the outstanding amount of Rs 10 lakh. Jigar often called the complainant Priyankaba Jadeja and asked to waive the compensation amount. However, when Priyanka was transferred from the State GST to a high-rise building, she asked for an inquiry in the State GST. Despite this, Jigar is repeatedly calling to waive the penalty amount and asking to waive the amount of fine received on 30/4 from the multi-storey building. Wherever he spoke in a loud voice, he ran away as soon as the nearby staff reached.
On 11th June, he again came to Bahumali Bhawan office with his wife Jigyasa and bowed his head and said that we are known in ACB and media. I will trap you in wrong crime and at the same time when Priyanka was going to call on 100 number, Jigar snatched her phone and obstructed her duty and threatened her. Finally, he ran away when nearby people came. In this case, PSI Belim and staff have started investigation by registering a complaint in P. Nagar police station.
