Jammu, July 4 (HS). National General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress Uday Bhanu Chib on Thursday accused the BJP of misgovernance in the last decade and said that the party has not only failed to fulfill its promises but also increased the hardships of the common people. Addressing a meeting in Ward No. 36 of Jammu North Assembly Constituency here, the Youth Congress leader said that the troubles of the people have increased manifold in the last 10 years under the BJP rule, stressing on the inability of the government to fulfill its commitments.
He said, the Modi government has only brought many miseries to the common people through heavy taxes amid unprecedented price rise and record unemployment. Uday Chib criticised the government for a series of recruitment scams, which he claimed has left the youth disheartened and confused. He also pointed out that the introduction of property tax and smart meters on water will further increase the burden on the common people. He pointed out that the government's promises of transparency and efficiency have failed, as is evident from the persistent corruption and mismanagement.
He further said that the youth are losing hope from the system and the common people are struggling to make ends meet. Now the time has come for the government to act responsibly and address these burning issues. The senior Youth Congress leader appealed to the people to support the Congress party in the upcoming assembly elections and urged them to vote for change and a better future.
