Hemant Soren again became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, CM for the third time

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's working president Hemant Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand at Raj Bhavan today. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Hemant Soren. Hemant Soren was recently released from jail. Soren has become the CM of Jharkhand for the third time. On Wednesday, Hemant Soren was elected the leader of the legislative party and yesterday Champai Soren resigned from his post.

Earlier the oath was to be taken on 7 July

The JMM had earlier said that Hemant Soren would take oath as chief minister on July 7 after being invited by Governor CP Radhakrishnan to form the government in the state, but later the JMM-led alliance decided that Hemant Soren will take oath today.

Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren posted, democracy has finally won. She said that the injustice that started on 31 January 2024 has now started getting true justice.

Champai Soren resigned

It is worth noting that Champai Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister on Wednesday, July 3. Hemant Soren claimed to form the government. A delegation of the JMM-led alliance met Governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The delegation led by Hemant Soren included Congress state president Rajesh Thakur, RJD minister Satyanand Bhokta and CPI (ML) MLA Vinod Singh.
