The rules of priests' dress, mobile etc have changed in Ayodhya Ram Mandir, know more

The arrangements of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the place of worship of Lord Shri Ram, the idol of crores of Hindus in the country and abroad, have been changed. Now the dress of the priests of the temple has changed. The dress of the priests has now become saffron yellow. Apart from this, carrying mobile phones in the temple has also been banned. Apart from this, many other rules have also been changed.

According to the officials of the Ram Mandir Trust, the dress of the priests of the Ramlala temple has been changed and they have been banned from carrying mobile phones inside the temple. Till now the priests were seen in saffron clothes in the sanctum sanctorum. They used to wear saffron turban, saffron kurta and dhoti. But now the priests have started wearing yellow (Pitambari) dhoti along with kurta and turban of the same color.

According to temple officials, the new dress code has come into effect from July 1. New priests are trained to wear a yellow turban. The 'chaubandi' kurta has no buttons and thread is used to tie it. A yellow 'dhoti', a piece of cotton cloth, is tied around the waist and covers the legs up to the ankles.

It is worth noting that there are four assistant priests along with the chief priest in the Ram temple. Five trainee priests have also been appointed with each assistant priest. Each team of these priests serves in a five-hour shift between 3.30 am and 11 am. The priests have also been banned from carrying mobile phones in the temple.

It is worth noting that yellow colour has special importance in Indian religion. Yellow and saffron colour is used in auspicious works. In such a situation, the priests of Ram temple will also be seen in yellow clothes. The priests have also been given special training for this new dress code.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Shri Ram Temple

The important thing is that on August 5, when the Bhoomi Pujan/foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Mandir was held, PM Modi also wore a yellow kurta. However, the priests present there were present in saffron coloured clothes.
