A day earlier, the local market created a new history. The BSE Sensex managed to cross the 80 thousand mark for the first time in its history. In Wednesday's trading, the Sensex reached a new high of 80,074.30 points. However, after the close of trading, the Sensex fell below 80 thousand points.
Today, banking-finance and tech stocks are seeing a surge in early trade. ICICI Bank registered the highest gain of 1.5 percent in the Sensex.
