Kirori Lal Meena: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena did not use government facilities. Kirodi Lal Meena, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in the Rajasthan Government, has resigned from the post of minister. Kirodi Lal Meena had submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma about 10 days ago and now he has announced it publicly.

However, Congress leaders were constantly demanding his resignation. Because during the elections, Kirori Lal Meena had said that if BJP loses even one of the 7 seats in eastern Rajasthan, he would resign. BJP lost the Dausa seat. Out of these seven seats, BJP lost 4 seats, which include Dausa, Karoli-Dholpur, Tonk-Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur seats.

Earlier, when Kirori Lal Meena was asked about not attending the cabinet meeting, he told a TV that 'I will resign from the post of minister. That is why he did not attend the cabinet meeting. However, CM Bhajan Lal told me that your resignation will not be accepted. Kirori Lal Meena said that there is no resentment, although I had publicly said that if BJP loses even one seat out of 7, I will resign, so I resigned.

Let us tell you that after BJP's defeat in 4 seats of Bharatpur, Dholpur-Karoli, Dausa and Tonk-Sawaimadhopur, the opponents reminded Kirori of his promise and demanded his resignation. However, during the campaign, Kirori Lal Meena had given the responsibility of 7 seats including Dausa to PM Modi. But here he had to face defeat.
