Natwarlal arrested for cheating people of Rs 150 crores

Fatehpur, 03 July (HS). Prayagraj STF along with Sultanpur Ghosh police station on Wednesday arrested Rajesh Maurya, a criminal with a reward of twenty-five thousand rupees. He has defrauded more than one and a half hundred crore rupees.

Superintendent of Police Uday Shankar Singh said that Rajesh Maurya lived in Nehru Nagar of Indore city of Madhya Pradesh under the name of Raja Singh. He had changed his appearance. He used to live in the guise of a Sardar, so that people could not recognize him. Rajesh Maurya worked in marketing after passing the intermediate examination in 2007. Later, he registered an NGO named R.K.M. Shikshan Sansthan and collected crores of rupees by luring people with double profit. The story of his fraudulent exploits was spread in other states besides Uttar Pradesh. In the preliminary investigation, the police came to know that Rajesh Maurya misled people through fake documents and receipts and grabbed money from them. Many cases of fraud are registered against him. To escape the police, he used to change his disguise and hideouts continuously. After getting accurate information about him, the STF and the police station took joint action and arrested him near Karmepur turn. Originally he lived in Khajuria village of Sultanpur Ghosh police station area. Apart from here, he had earlier absconded after collecting more than 150 crore rupees from thousands of people in several districts by luring them with the promise of doubling their money. Now the police will take further action to seize his property.
