Sensex crossed 80 thousand for the first time, investors made a profit of 3.32 lakh crores

New Delhi, 03 July (HS). The domestic stock market once again wrote a new chapter of strength on Wednesday. Today's trading started with a new record of all-time high. In the first hour of trading itself, Sensex and Nifty moved further and reached new peaks of strength. Sensex crossed the level of 80 thousand points for the first time. Similarly, Nifty was successful in crossing the level of 24,300 points for the first time.

After the initial rise, the bulls and bears kept trying to dominate each other during the day's trading, due to which both the Sensex and Nifty indices kept moving up and down. After the whole day's trading, the stock market managed to close at a record level. After the day's buying and selling, the Sensex closed with a gain of 0.69 percent and the Nifty closed with a gain of 0.67 percent.

During the day's trading today, the most buying was seen in the shares of banking, financial, telecom and metal sectors. Apart from this, all the sectoral indices closed strongly in the green mark except the media and oil and gas sector. There was continuous buying in the broader market today, due to which the BSE midcap index closed with a gain of 0.86 percent. Similarly, the smallcap index also ended today's trading with a gain of 0.86 percent.

Due to the rise in the market today, the wealth of stock market investors increased by more than Rs 3.25 lakh crore. The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE increased to Rs 445.50 lakh crore (provisional) after today's trading. On the previous trading day i.e. Tuesday, their market capitalization was Rs 442.18 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 3.32 lakh crore from today's trading.

There was active trading in 4,021 shares on BSE during today's trading. Of these, 2,355 shares closed with a gain while 1,567 shares showed a decline and 99 shares closed without any fluctuation. There was active trading in 2,347 shares on NSE today. Of these, 1,479 shares closed in the green zone after making profits and 868 shares closed in the red zone after incurring losses. Similarly, out of the 30 shares included in Sensex, 24 shares closed with a gain and 6 shares closed with a decline. Out of the shares included in Nifty, 38 shares closed in the green zone and 12 shares closed in the red zone.

The BSE Sensex today crossed the 80 thousand mark for the first time and opened at 80,013.17 points with a gain of 572.32 points. After the start of trading, with the support of buying, this index managed to reach its highest level of 80,074.30 points with a strength of 632.85 points. After this, the movement of this index declined due to profit booking in the market. Throughout the day's trading, buyers and sellers kept trying to dominate each other, due to which the movement of this index also kept fluctuating. After the whole day's trading, the Sensex closed at 79,986.80 points, setting a new record of all-time high closing with a gain of 545.35 points.

Like the Sensex, the NSE's Nifty also created a new record of strength and started trading at 24,291.75 points with a gain of 167.90 points. Due to the buying that started after the market opened, this index was able to reach its highest peak of 24,309.15 points with a gain of 185.30 points. After 10 am, the sellers created pressure in the market, due to which the movement of this index kept going up and down continuously. After the day's trading, the Nifty closed at 24,286.50 points, creating a new closing record with a gain of 162.65 points.

After today's trading, among the stock market's big stocks, Tata Consumer Products rose 3.74 percent, Adani Ports 2.43 percent, Kotak Mahindra 2.32 percent, HDFC Bank 2.20 percent and Axis Bank 2.12 percent to be included in the list of today's top 5 gainers. On the other hand, TCS fell 1.30 percent, Titan Company 1.16 percent, Reliance Industries 0.81 percent, Tata Motors 0.58 percent and Hindalco Industries fell 0.45 percent to be included in the list of today's top 5 losers.
