Dehradun, 03 July (HS). District Magistrate Sonika inspected the arrangements while doing a surprise inspection of the shelter homes in the city area on Wednesday. The District Magistrate inspected two shelter homes, Sarfina Shelter Home and Satya Sai Shelter Home.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate directed that all the shelter homes should have CCTV cameras installed. Those shelter homes which do not have CCTV cameras should get them installed. During this, the District Magistrate met the children living in the shelter home and also talked to them. The District Magistrate directed that all basic facilities should be ensured in the shelter home.
He instructed the National Child Protection Team to inspect the shelter homes from time to time and check the arrangements and make arrangements as per the standards. Disabled children live in the Satya Sai shelter home, who went to school during the inspection, on which the District Magistrate went to their school and met the children and during this time saw the arrangements in the school.
