Mumbai: The controversy surrounding Sonakshi Sinha's wedding has escalated with her family's displeasure. Sonakshi's brother Luv Sinha has raised serious questions over Zaheer's family's business connections and citing reports of Zaheer's father having Dubai connections, said that he was absent from the wedding because he did not want to be associated with people with suspicious activities.

Sonakshi and Zaheer are dating and their marriage was registered on June 23. At their wedding, their father Shatrughan Sinha and mother Poonam Sinha were present but both brothers Luv and Kush were absent. Kush later clarified that he was present at the wedding. Of course, now Luv has clarified, citing a media report, that he was absent from the wedding and the reason for this was Zaheer's family activities. He did not want to be associated with people with some dubious businesses. He has specifically mentioned the serious allegations against Zaheer's father Iqbal Ratanshi.

Luv quoted a media report saying that Zaheer's father is related to a politician facing an Enforcement Directorate case.
