Sumit Nagal loses in first round of Wimbledon after making 44 unforced errors in the match

Indian singles player Sumit Nagal has crashed out of the All England Club after 44 unforced errors and a four-set loss to Serbia's Miomir Secmanovic in the first round of Wimbledon.

Nagle, playing in the main draw of men's singles for the first time, lost 2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 after a struggle of two hours and 38 minutes. Nagle won the second set against the world number 53 Serbian player. 72nd ranked Nagle also hit 47 winners in the match. He could score only 104 points against Kecmanovic's 122. Apart from hitting six aces, the Serbian player also committed two double faults. This is also his second consecutive win against Nagle. Four years ago, he also defeated Nagel at the Cologne Open ATP 250 event in Germany. Nagle, who has qualified for the Paris Olympics, is the first Indian to enter the main draw of Wimbledon men's singles in five years. Prajnesh Gunneswaran lost in the first round of the 2019 Grand Slam. He also managed to make it to the main draw of the Australian Open that year. Nagal also qualified for the main draws of the ATP Indian Wells Masters and the Monte Carlo Masters.
