Ranchi, 02 July (HS). On Tuesday, at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium located in Khelgaon, Public School and Children Welfare Association (PASWA) awarded students of 10th and 12th class of JAC Board, CBSE and ICSE Board from various districts of Jharkhand including the capital Ranchi. This program was organized on Tuesday under the leadership of National President of PASWA, Alok Kumar Dubey.
On the occasion, Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon advised the parents present in his speech that in the present situation, there is a need to focus only on school education. It is an unfortunate situation that children are getting trapped in the net of coaching in the name of medical and engineering preparation after matriculation and some children are even getting trapped in a commercial net away from their studies in reality. The government is also making efforts in this direction. Children also need to get basic education in schools and make their future golden.
On the irregularities in the NEET exam, he said that children need not be discouraged. They should set their goals. No matter how much dishonesty there is, truth always wins. He also asked parents to give time to their children. He also discussed the ill effects of drugs and social media on children and said that good parenting is the only solution to this.
PASVA's National President Alok Kumar Dubey said that every year, children who score 70% or more marks in the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations of Jharkhand Board, CBSE Board and ICSE Board are rewarded with certificates and medals. Because, it is possible that due to some reason, a child may have scored less marks than the topper in the examination but there is no lack of talent in them. By us felicitating them, their self-confidence will develop and they will score even more marks in the next examination with full zeal and enthusiasm and become ideal citizens.
Dubey said that in the last five years, PASVA has organized state level student talent award ceremony and awarded about 45 thousand children in Ranchi alone whereas in the entire state more than one lakh children have been awarded. This year about 20 thousand children have been awarded.
During this time, children also presented cultural programmes. Principals of private schools of Jharkhand and 2500 educationists were also awarded for doing commendable work in the field of education.
