After NEET, UPPCS J exam was rigged, bribed and answer sheets were altered

UPPSC Exam: The alleged rigging in NEET, one of the top exams held in India, has exposed the entire education system. However, the mystery of rigging in this exam is yet to be solved and now allegations of rigging have been made in another exam in Uttar Pradesh.

There are reports of irregularities in the PCS judicial examination in UP. The UP Public Service Commission has admitted in the Allahabad High Court that there was malpractice in the examination. The UP Public Service Commission has been accused of changing the PCS copies and bribing the candidates. It was alleged that 50 copies were changed in the main examination.

The UP Judicial Services Civil Judge (Main) Exam 2022 was conducted from May 22 to 25, 2023. The result of the main exam was declared on August 1, while the final result was declared on August 30. Judges are made in lower courts in Uttar Pradesh through the PCS Judicial Exam.

The UP Public Service Commission has admitted in court that the copies have been changed through wrong coding. Three junior officers have been suspended in this major incident. The next hearing of this case will be held in the High Court on July 8.

On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has taken action against five officers and employees in the alleged case of altering the answer sheet of a PCS J candidate. According to UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar, Section Officer Shiv Shankar, Review Officer Neelam Shukla and Assistant Review Officer Bhagwati Devi have been suspended after the allegations of negligence were proved in the investigation of the case.

The supervisory officer has also decided to take departmental action against Deputy Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra. Permission has also been sought from the state government to take action against retired Assistant Review Officer Chandrakala.

RTI exposed the truth:

PCS (J) Main Exam-2022 candidate Shravan Pandey saw his answer sheet under RTI. After seeing this answer sheet, he suspected that something was wrong, he filed a petition in Allahabad High Court and alleged that my English answer sheet had different handwriting and some pages of the second answer sheet were torn, due to which I could not pass the main exam.

Following such arguments, the High Court directed the UPPSC to submit the answer sheets of the petitioner's six question papers to the court on June 5, 2024. Acting on the court order, the Commission appeared in the High Court on June 7, 2024 and gave an affidavit that after the matter came to light, 18,042 answer sheets of all 3019 candidates who appeared in the main examination are being examined. The Commission has also started showing the answer sheets to the candidates from June 20. Candidates appearing in the PCS-J 2022 main examination will be shown their copy according to their roll number by July 30. So far 232 candidates have seen their answer sheets.
