Royal Challengers Bangalore wrote in a social media post, “Welcome back to our keeper all the way. Dinesh Karthik is back in a completely new avatar at Royal Challengers Bangalore. Dinesh Karthik will be the batting coach and mentor of the RCB men's team. You can keep this man out. Cricket but cricket. Not out of the man!”
Karthik played for Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore in the IPL
Dinesh Karthik Karthik started his IPL career in 2008 with Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils). After this he was a part of Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians and then Delhi Capitals. Then in 2015 Karthik joined Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this Karthik became a part of Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders. After this he returned to RCB in 2022 and played for Bangalore till 2024. Karthik announced his retirement last season itself.
