UGC-NET Exam New Date: Amid the paper leak controversy, the UGC National Eligibility Test was cancelled a day after it was to be held on June 18, the NTA has announced new dates for the exam. According to which now the UGC-NET exam will be held from August 21 and this exam will now be conducted completely computer based instead of paper-pencil offline mode.
UGC's National Eligibility Test for professorship and research fellowship in colleges is conducted every year in June and December. This year the June cycle exam was conducted offline in paper-pencil mode across the country on June 18. But the exam was cancelled on the second day of the exam due to paper leak and some other flaws.
Lakhs of students from across the country had appeared in this exam, but suddenly the exam was cancelled and lakhs of students were disappointed. The new date of this exam has been announced by the National Testing Agency. According to which, now it will be conducted across the country from 21 August to 4 September.
To avoid the paper leak controversy, this UGC-NET exam will now be conducted on computer base instead of paper-pencil mode. New dates for two other exams have also been announced by NTA. According to which, the J int CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) – UGC NET exam postponed from 25 to 27 June will now be held from 25 to 27 July and this exam will also be computer based.
Apart from this, the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to four-year integrated teacher training courses will be held on July 10 and it will be conducted on any computer base. While the All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Examination will be held on July 6 as per the pre-scheduled date.
