IMD weather forecast : Meghraja has made a strong entry in nine states of the country. Initial rains in these states have affected life. The situation has worsened due to heavy rains in the plains and coastal areas, causing waterlogging in many places. After the waterlogging situation in Delhi-NCR, people are also troubled by waterlogging in many places in Gujarat due to heavy rains. Amidst all these conditions, the Meteorological Department has still predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some states including Gujarat. According to the latest update of IMD, heavy rains are expected in many parts of North India including Delhi-NCR in the next two days. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain in Gujarat.
Heavy rain predicted in Delhi
Apart from the Indian Meteorological Department, other weather agencies have also predicted heavy rains in Ballabhgarh, Bawal and surrounding areas of NCR. According to the IMD forecast, apart from Delhi, heavy rains are also expected in Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
Meghswari in many districts of Gujarat
As far as Gujarat is concerned, Meghraj's ride has been seen in most of the districts here. Heavy rains lashed Ahmedabad on Sunday. Due to continuous five hours of rain, many areas of the city were flooded. Today, due to rain, potholes have formed on the road in the western area of Shela, while incidents of landslides have been reported in many places including Gandhinagar.
Five day alert in Gujarat
Gujarat is likely to receive heavy rains for five days from tomorrow. According to IMD scientist Pradeep Sharma, rain is expected in all parts of Gujarat in the next five days. A heavy rain warning has been issued in the state. Orange alert has been issued for Surat, Navsari, Valsad and Dadranagar Haveli, Bharuch.
Rain alert in 27 states
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 27 states. According to the forecast, heavy rains are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
When will it rain in which state, see forecast
- Rains are expected in various parts of coastal Saurashtra, Kutch, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka tomorrow.
- Favourable conditions are being seen for further advance of Monsoon into West Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir during the next two to three days.
- There is a possibility of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan from today till July 3. While heavy rain is expected in western Rajasthan on July 2-3.
- Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra may receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning.
- There is a possibility of heavy rain in Bihar from today till July 2.
- Thunderstorms, lightning and heavy to very heavy rainfall are likely at isolated places over West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next four days.
- Heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh on June 30.
- Scattered rains are expected over Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka.
