In connection with the Reasi terror attack, the NIA conducted raids at several places in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 30. On the evening of June 9, 2024, terrorists opened fire on a passenger bus going from Shivkhori to Katra in Paune area of Reasi district, causing the bus to fall into a nearby ditch. Nine people, including a child, died in this terror attack.
Raids conducted at five places in Rajouri
After the incident, the Home Ministry handed over its investigation to the NIA on June 15, 2024. Under this, the NIA conducted searches at five places related to hybrid terrorists and overground workers (OGWs). The NIA team reached the places mentioned by the arrested accused Hakam Khan alias Hakin Din for search. According to the NIA investigation, Hakam provided them (terrorists) with safe place to stay, food and essential items.
The accused gave many types of explanations
During the investigation to uncover the terror plot, the NIA seized several items to establish the connection between the terrorists and the OGWs. According to the Reasi SP, the accused Hakin Dean not only sheltered the attackers but also helped them a lot in their activities and work, due to which this incident took place. During interrogation, Hakin Dey told that three terrorists stayed at his house. According to the SP, the terrorists also gave money to the accused.
After several terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had to review the security situation there. During his two-day visit to Srinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The government is serious about the recent terror attacks.
