New Delhi. Like the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, people living in NCR will also be given relief in toll in the Delhi-Dehradun Green Field Corridor. The National Highways Authority of India has taken a decision in this regard, under which people living in the areas bordering Delhi will not have to pay any toll to travel to and from the border.
Delhi-Dehradun 212 km long green field corridor is being constructed. In this, an 18 km long elevated road has been built from Akshardham to Loni border. This is the initial part. According to the NHAI official, toll will not be taken from the drivers in this, but any driver who goes beyond this will be charged toll from Akshardham till wherever he goes. It is worth noting that most of the part till UP border has been completed and it is likely that it will be opened by the end of next month.
Toll rates are likely to be higher from Delhi to Baghpat EPA, as 90 percent of the expressway here is elevated. This will provide relief to the people of Ghaziabad living on the Delhi border. Because they commute to Delhi daily and if they have to pay toll, it will be very heavy. Similarly, in the Delhi Meerut Expressway, there is no toll to go from Nizamuddin to Dasna, but the driver going beyond this has to pay toll from Nizamuddin to wherever he goes.
