Kashmir was, is and will always be a part of India: Farooq Abdullah

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, speaking at an event in Bengaluru on Sunday, said that Kashmir was, is and will always be a part of India. While delivering the concluding speech at the 'Constitution and National Unity Council-2024', the Srinagar MP expressed concern over EVMs before the Lok Sabha elections and expressed hope that fair elections should be held.

I bring good wishes for you on behalf of my people

Farooq said, “I have brought good wishes for you on behalf of my people. Kashmir is a part of India, has been a part of India and will remain a part of India.” However, he said that to strengthen the country, its diversity needs to be preserved. The NC chief said, “Religion does not divide us, religion unites us. No religion is bad, we just follow it badly. If we have to move forward, the only way forward is with each other.” Face the challenges unitedly. The nation must unite and fight against the evils that want to divide us.”

Today the Constitution is in danger: Farooq Abdullah

The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir claimed that the Constitution is in danger today. Everyone needs to work together to strengthen it. He said, “If we do not do this, we will have to repent in the coming days. Today we regret this machine (EVM) which came many years ago.” The NC president said, “Today we do not trust this machine because it has been tampered with and people who vote do not see their vote there. I hope the Election Commission will pay due attention to this and ensure that people get real leaders.” ,

The diversity we have would be nothing.

“People should get what they want,” he said. I hope that will happen or a time will come when there will be nothing like the Constitution, nothing like the diversity that we have.”
