There has been a massive explosion in a firecracker factory in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. Information has been received that at least five people have died in this blast. The entire area was shaken by the explosions from above. People living nearby reached the spot and at least 10 people were rescued. However, during this period seven people died and many people got seriously burnt. According to reports, there was a lot of anger among the local people as the fire brigade vehicles did not arrive till an hour after the blast. The firecracker factory that became the victim of the accident is located in Bharwari of Kokhraj police station of Kaushambi. According to the police, many people were working in the factory when the explosion occurred. According to local people, seven people died in the accident and many people have been taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Eight people are still trapped in the factory
According to the police, three people died at the accident site, while the rest died on the way or during treatment in the hospital. Relief work is still going on at the site and it is believed that eight people are still trapped in the factory.
The factory was away from the residential area
Kaushambi SP Vrijeshkumar Srivastava said that the people who were working in the factory at the time of the blast got trapped in the accident. According to him, this factory has a license to make firecrackers. The special thing is that this factory is far away from the residential area.
