Ranchi, June 29 (HS). Assam Chief Minister and BJP's co-in-charge of Jharkhand assembly elections Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the upcoming assembly elections will decide the condition and direction of Jharkhand. Jharkhand is at a decisive juncture. The people of the state want relief from loot, corruption and breach of promise. The people are waiting for the time for good governance and development. He said that the manifesto committee and charge sheet committee have an important role in the elections.
Himanta said that the BJP's manifesto will be the people's manifesto. The party should prepare an all-inclusive, all-touching and development-oriented manifesto through public relations and dialogue. He said that the state government is surrounded by allegations. Every section of the society is fed up with this useless and corrupt government. He gave us necessary suggestions to prepare a charge sheet by exposing each of their failures.
Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the joint meeting of the manifesto committee, charge sheet committee, talking points committee held under the chairmanship of state president Babulal Marandi at the state office, besides the joint meeting of the Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha. He visited the residences of party leaders belonging to the tribal society and had cordial meetings with them. He enquired about their well-being and discussed the current political and social issues of the state.
People are looking at BJP with hopeful eyes: Babulal Marandi
Addressing the meeting, Babulal Marandi said that the hopes and expectations of the people are attached to the BJP. The Thugbandhan government did not do a single good deed for the people of the state. This government was engaged in looting the state for four and a half years. Appeasement and vote bank politics have changed the demography of the state. He said that the people are looking towards the BJP with hopeful eyes. The BJP has built the state. The BJP cannot see the state being looted and ruined. We have to live up to the expectations of the people.
Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri said that the Thugbandhan government is anti-tribal, anti-Dalit, anti-backward, anti-women and anti-youth. The public has to be freed from this government.
Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the houses of former Union Minister Arjun Munda, former Union Minister of State Sudarshan Bhagat, National President of Scheduled Tribes Front Samir Oraon, Sita Soren, who was the candidate from Dumka Lok Sabha constituency, former MP Geeta Koda, State Spokesperson and former IPS officer Dr. Arun Oraon. He had refreshments and food at the residence of the leaders.
