Ranchi, June 29 (HS). On the instructions of Ranchi Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman District Level Steering Monitoring Committee Rahul Kumar Sinha, a meeting of the District Level Steering cum Monitoring Committee was held under PM Poshan Yojana at the Collectorate on Saturday.
In the meeting, the District Education Superintendent informed that in the financial year 2023-24, rice was delivered to the schools through the agency through tender for the supply of rice to the schools. In this, bank guarantee was provided by the tenderer under the tender agreement. It has been told by the bank through a letter that the time limit of the bank guarantee has expired, in such a situation what should be done with the said amount. As per the instructions of the DC, it was decided to keep the said amount safe in the bank account operated in the name of the District Education Superintendent. Till the backlog rice is made available to the schools through the tenderer, that amount will remain deposited in the account operated in the name of the District Education Superintendent.
It was told in the meeting that the attendance of students in the schools of the district was 65.66 percent in the month of May. In the month of June, one lakh 33 thousand 102 children benefited from mid-day meal. All the concerned officials including District Education Superintendent Ranchi Mithilesh Kerketta, representative of Civil Surgeon Office Ranchi attended the meeting.
