Kaithal, June 29 (HS). The principal of Swami Brahmanand Gurukul Pundri in the town of Pundri brutally beat a third class student in the classroom and dragged her by her hair. The incident is of March 28, 2024. The girl's family had complained to the police at the same time, but the police took 3 months to investigate the matter. On Saturday, a case has been registered against the principal under the JJ Act.
The mother of the victim, Isha Karanwal, a resident of Sethan Mohalla, Pundri, in her complaint to the Pundri Police, said that her daughter is a student of Class 8 at Swami Brahmanand Gurukul, Pundri. It is alleged that on 28th March, due to a quarrel between the students, the Principal Amandeep Kaur called her daughter to her room, dragged her by her hair and beat her mercilessly with slaps and punches. It is alleged that her daughter even went to the bathroom in her clothes. Despite this, the Principal did not show any mercy and continued to beat her.
The complainant said that she works as a receptionist in this school. Hearing the sound of fighting and shouting, other teachers and parents gathered there. When she went there, the principal threatened to fire her from the job and kill her if she complained. She complained about the matter at the Pundri police station on April 1, but the principal pressured her to withdraw the complaint and did not allow any action to be taken.
Pundri police station in-charge SI Rajkumar said that the case was being investigated by the DSP. In the investigation, it was found that the girl was beaten up. Only after that a case has been registered against the principal.
