Hisar, June 29 (HS). 'The same Hisar where the government is patting its back about development by inaugurating the airport five times. There is a bridge in the same Hisar which is under construction for seven years. In the name of construction, this bridge has become a headache for 40 thousand people who cross it.'
This was said by Sanjeev Bhojraj, president of Madad Sanstha, while people were sitting on a symbolic dharna on Saturday in protest against the irregularities in the construction of Surya Nagar bridge. The organization has started a symbolic dharna here every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. Many eminent people of the city including local Surya Nagar, Sector 1-4 supported the dharna and said that they welcome this initiative of the NGO and all will unite and raise their voice against the arbitrariness of the government, administration and contractor.
People told that the underbridge which is being built has no arrangement for water drainage during rainy season, due to which there is a possibility of a big accident. Even after closing the road for 60 days, the roads of both the underbridges have not been completely paved. This shows the negligence of the contractor. Om Prakash, former councilor Ajit, IS Malik, Holy Child School director Rajpal Singh Sindhu, Master Rajendra Saini, Ajay Kumar, Ravi Dutt, Sushil Saharan, Prashant, Radha, Rajat, Suraj, Ramesh Rana from Bhim Army, Amit, Advocate Santal Ambedkar, Surya Nagar resident Ramkala, Satbir Khan and a large number of people were present at the protest.
