According to the information, a truck loaded with LPG cylinders was going from Haldwani to Barinag late on Friday night. When the truck reached Tani ahead of Mangalta on the Seraghat motor road in Almora district, it suddenly went out of control and fell into the Zainal river. Two people died in this accident.
Regarding the incident, Dhaulchi police station in-charge Sushil Kumar said that the truck driver has been identified as Harish Chandra Bisht son of Praveen Singh resident of Kapkot Bageshwar police station. Efforts are being made to identify the sweeper. The entire matter is being investigated. The cause of the accident is not known.
