Bahubali 2, released in 2017, was a blockbuster at the box office. The film collected 121 crores on the first day. Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD lagged far behind the SS Rajamouli directed film on its opening day. Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 95.3 crore from all languages ​​on the first day, which is Rs 25.7 crore less than Bahubali 2. The biggest reason behind this is the film's low earnings in Hindi.

Kalki 2898 AD remained far behind Bahubali 2 in terms of earnings on the second day as well. The film collected Rs 54 crore in all languages ​​in India on Friday. After this collection, the total earnings of Kalki 2898 AD have become Rs 149.3 crore. If we talk about Bahubali 2, then the film has collected Rs 211 crore in two days in India alone including all versions.

Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD has also lagged behind Adipurush in terms of two-day earnings. Directed by Om Raut, the film grossed Rs 152 crore in two days. Kalki 2898 AD has been beaten only by Salaar, Saaho and Radhe Shyam. Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar collected Rs 147.05 crore in two days in all languages. The film earned Rs 90.7 crore on the first day. Its earnings on the second day were Rs 56.35 crore. Apart from this, Saaho earned Rs 144.10 crore in two days and Radhe Shyam earned only Rs 67.7 crore.
