Jaipur, June 29 (HS). The state government has formed a committee for impartial investigation of single lease case in the state. On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, this committee has been formed under the chairmanship of former judge R.S. Rathore. Also, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department and the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department will be members of this committee.
It is noteworthy that during the tenure of the previous government, a committee was formed to withdraw the case from the court on the irregularities in the single lease case. But officials related to the office of the then UDH Minister were included in the committee. This raised questions on the impartiality of the said committee.
The newly constituted committee under the chairmanship of former judge R.S. Rathore will conduct an impartial inquiry into the single lease case and submit a report to the state government.
