Efforts to connect private diagnostic and pathology centers with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

Jaipur, June 28 (HS). An orientation workshop was organized on Friday on the subject of connecting the private diagnostic and pathology centers of the state with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) under the joint aegis of the National Health Authority and the Health Department. More than 400 pathologists, microbiologists, diagnostic lab operators and representatives of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists participated in the workshop.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Garg, Additional Mission Director of National Health Mission. He said that ABDM is an initiative to provide simple and easy health facility to the patient in any corner of the country. He said that under ABDM, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha ID) is being created for every citizen of the country. So far, 43 percent citizens in the state have created their Abha ID. Through this ID, users can store all their health related records safely and can also share it with their doctor if required.

Director of National Health Authority Vikram Pagaria gave detailed information about various registries such as Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha), Healthcare Facility Registry, Healthcare Professional Registry and Digital Health Incentive Scheme under the scheme to the representatives of diagnostic labs and pathology labs who had come to the workshop. Pagaria said that by creating Abha ID, patients will be saved from the inconvenience of getting the same test done again and again and will also be able to get quality treatment with a strong medical history. Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, all private and government diagnostic labs will be linked to ABDM compliant lab management information system. With this, the patient can get treatment anywhere, but his medical history will be available on his Abha account.

In the workshop, IMA state president Dr. Rajneesh Sharma, PWC's Dr. Rana Mehta and other subject experts also expressed their views. ACP IT Vishnukant Jalendhra gave the welcome address and detailed information about Aabha ID.
