Soldiers' complaints should be resolved on priority, DM knows the situation

Dehradun, June 28 (HS). The District Sainik Council quarterly meeting was held in Rishiparna Auditorium Collectorate on Friday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Sonika.

In the meeting, the district magistrate said that all the members of the committee and the complaints received at the block level should be brought to the notice of the committee and the District Sainik Welfare Officer should resolve the complaints of soldiers and their dependents by coordinating with the concerned departments. He also sought suggestions from the members of the committee. The district magistrate enquired from the District Sainik Welfare Officer about various complaints related to soldiers and the status of their resolution. District Sainik Welfare Officer Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Virendra Prasad Bhatt said that after verifying most of the complaints received by the committee, the concerned have been informed about the status of their resolution. Chief Development Officer Jharna Kamthan, Major (Retd) MS Negi, PBRO Chairman SS Bisht, etc. were present in the meeting.
