Providence, June 28 (HS). The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team defeated England by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium in Guyana to enter the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, where they will face South Africa on Saturday.
Chasing the target of 172 runs, captain Jos Buttler and Philip Salt gave the desired start to the English team and started hitting the ball across the boundary easily, especially Buttler was in aggressive mode, Buttler also caught Arshdeep's slow balls and hit three fours. With England's excellent run rate of more than 8, the imagination of the 2022 World Cup semi-final slowly started emerging in the minds of Indian fans.
