Dehradun, June 27 (HS). By-elections are to be held on July 10 in Mangalore and Badrinath assembly seats of Uttarakhand. BJP and Congress have intensified preparations for the elections. These days there is a round of allegations and counter-allegations on each other. In fact, Congress has complained to the Election Commission regarding the assembly by-elections. On the other hand, BJP has called Congress's complaints a bundle of lies and an excuse before defeat.
State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, while talking to media at party headquarters on Thursday, said that Congress has realized the defeat of its candidates in Mangalore and Badrinath assembly seats. This is the reason why they have started making excuses for the defeat by filing a false complaint to the Election Commission. He called the allegations of Congress baseless and baseless nonsense and said that Congress is not able to find time for its state in-charge for campaigning. They are not able to find leaders and workers to engage in the elections. At the same time, the credibility of Congress is under doubt due to being issueless. On the other hand, BJP is the world's largest cadre-based organization. The incomparable strength of the workers is with the candidates. Therefore, if Congress does not have a team for the elections, then a complaint should not be made to the Election Commission by venting anger against anyone.
He said that the people of both the constituencies are going to vote in favour of BJP for regional development, which the Congress has also realized very well. The people have been giving importance to the double engine government for development. Uttarakhand has directly benefited from this.
He said that Congress also knows this reality and in a planned manner, they have already started preparing for defeat. To stay in the election field, Congress is resorting to false allegations and rumours. In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the public also punished them for this. He said that Congress, which till now blamed EVMs, has now changed its strategy and started making excuses of machinery and money power. It would have been better if Congress had taken opinion from the public instead of complaints, then it would have definitely come to know the ground reality.
