Residents of Lohandiya Bazaar submitted a memorandum to ECL management on the issue of electricity and gave a warning

Godda, June 27 (HS). The villagers have given an ultimatum to stop the mining work of the project if the Rajmahal project management of ECL does not provide electricity to the project affected Lohandiya market. The villagers of Lohandiya market, adjacent to the mining area, submitted a memorandum to the General Manager-in-charge of the project on Thursday demanding electricity and demanded that ECL provide electricity to Lohandiya market within 14 days.

It is written in the memorandum that the Rajmahal Project is carrying out deep mining work just 30 meters away from Lohandiya Bazaar. The people here are forced to face heavy blasting, dust, land erosion and other incidents. The villagers said that for the last 10-20 years, ECL electricity has been provided to the project affected villages such as Tetaria, Ballia, Dakaita, Lalghutwa Bada Simra, Chhota Simra, Ghat Simra, Lalmatia, Lohandiya Basti Rehabilitation Site, Lohandiya Basti, Hijukita, Basdih, Chitarkothi Bagjori etc.

Angry with this step-motherly treatment of the Rajmahal Project, the villagers reached the regional office in hundreds on Thursday and gave an ultimatum, saying that if within 14 days the Rajmahal Project does not provide electricity to Lohandiya Bazaar like the other settlements, then they will be forced to stop mining work and protest, for which the General Manager-in-charge of the Rajmahal Project will be responsible.

The villagers have sent a copy of the memorandum submitted to the project to the Prime Minister's Office, Chief Minister, Coal Minister, Rajmahal MP, Godda MP, Bori MLA, Deputy Commissioner Godda, Coal Director Sanctoria, District Council Godda, District Council Member Boarijor North, Sub-Divisional Officer Mahagama, Block Development Officer Mahagama, Superintendent of Police Godda, Lalmatia Police Station Incharge and all local public representatives.
