Hundreds of tractors stock illegal sand at Badepur Ghat in Hussainabad

Palamu, June 26 (HS). To curb the illegal trade of sand in Hussainabad of the district, the road leading to Badepur sand ghat was cut with the help of JCB and the illegal sand stored there was thrown into the Son river. This news was widely publicized by Hussainabad's Zonal Officer Pankaj Kumar, but people were surprised to know that it was just a formality. A living example of this is that even on Wednesday, hundreds of tractor loads of illegal sand are present on the banks of Badepur river ghat. Its photo is attached with this news.

Sources say that in this way the Zonal Officer misled the senior officials of the district and got a pat on his back, while the truth is far from the above news.

After a news item was published in a daily newspaper in the last week of May, on the instructions of the Sub-Divisional Officer cum IAS Officer Piyush Sinha, Hussainabad Zonal Officer Pankaj Kumar launched a special campaign against illegal sand storage at the Badepur Son River bank in Hussainabad and merely did the formality of getting hundreds of tractor loads of illegal sand dumped in the Son River with the help of a JCB machine.

If rural sources are to be believed, only the formality of throwing the sand into the Son river was completed because the JCB machine was out of order. Now it is natural to raise the question that in the case of illegal sand, the zonal officer wants to laugh and be proud at the same time, which does not seem possible.

Due to the indifference of the administrative officers, the illegal sand business is not being controlled. Otherwise, if the will power of the administration becomes firm and strong in any matter, then it is impossible for illegal business to flourish in the area. The result of the weakness of the officers is that the mining mafia is becoming rich by exploiting natural resources like sand and the administration is proving unsuccessful in stopping the illegal business.
