Nainital, June 26 (HS). The High Court has fixed August 6 as the date for hearing a PIL filed in the matter of illegal encroachment on government properties, community parks, main crossings, roads and drains etc. in Premnagar Dehradun.
In an order passed on June 7, the court had sought a reply from the state government regarding the action taken in connection with the complaints filed earlier by the plaintiffs on various illegal encroachments taking place in Premnagar, Dehradun, in addition to information and details regarding the demolition of the earlier illegally constructed temple and the encroachment taking place in the community park near the vegetable market in Premnagar.
The case was heard before a division bench of Chief Justice Ritu Bahri and Justice Rakesh Thapliyal. According to the case, Tejinder Singh and others, residents of Premnagar, had filed a PIL in the High Court saying that illegal encroachment has been done on government properties, community parks, main crossings, roads and drains etc. under Premnagar Dehradun. Due to this, people have to face a lot of problems.
