BJP attacks Congress, says- there is disunity in Indi alliance on Emergency condemnation motion

New Delhi, June 26 (HS). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the Congress and said that the entire Indy alliance appeared scattered and confused on the censure motion brought on the Emergency. The BJP said that the Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi himself was confused because no leader of the alliance parties came in his support.

On Wednesday, BJP MP and party spokesperson Sambit Patra said in a press conference at the party headquarters that the whole country is protesting against the Emergency today. Indira Gandhi had imposed the Emergency 49 years ago. About 1.5 lakh people were put in jail. The 42nd amendment was brought in the Constitution of India. It is necessary to show the mirror to Rahul Gandhi who talks about saving the Constitution and waves copies of the Constitution.

He said that as soon as Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla brought a censure motion against the Emergency in the House today, Congress MPs came to the middle of the House in protest, but Samajwadi Party MPs remained seated. Rahul Gandhi was confused as to what to do now. Today, Congress MPs were trying to appear as protectors of the Constitution by holding copies of the Constitution in the House.

He said that the Lok Sabha speaker is elected democratically. Even today, Om Birla was elected Speaker by voice vote in the Lok Sabha. Speaker Om Birla moved a censure motion and highlighted the problems faced during the Emergency. Nearly 1.40 lakh people were jailed. Mulayam Yadav, Lalu Prasad, M Karunanidhi, MK Stalin, Sharad Yadav, TR Balu also went to jail during the Emergency. See the irony, as soon as the censure motion was moved in the Lok Sabha, Congress members immediately started creating ruckus. Congress MPs were running towards the well, but TMC, Samajwadi Party were not supporting Congress. It is clear that the Indy alliance is power hungry. Indira Gandhi also imposed Emergency in the country due to hunger for power.
