Deepak Birua said that drivers should be made aware of the precautions to be taken while driving so that road accidents can be reduced.
The minister reviewed the work of the department on Wednesday. He also discussed in detail the complete implementation of the Chief Minister Gramya Gaadi Yojana. The minister asked the Transport Department to work to increase revenue. He also asked for strict action against overloading and prompt checking of vehicles at check posts.
Transport Secretary Kripananda Jha, Transport Joint Commissioner and other senior officials were present in the Transport Department meeting.
